Polybush began when engineer Roy Higgins got really fed up with changing standard bushes on the Land Rovers he was responsible for in the harsh environment of Africa.

The first step was to design a special tool to remove the old bushes, a tool aptly named BUSHWAKA. Today the extended range of Bushwaka specialist tools are sold and used throughout the world.

Having solved the problem of removing the old bushes, Roy set about designing a longer lasting and easier to fit replacement bush. The result was the POLYBUSH CLASSIC and the founding of R H Engineering in 1991. and the founding of R H Engineering in 1991.

R H Engineering is now a division of Bonaprene Products Ltd, one of the UK's leading manufacturers of polyurethane elastomers. In fact, Polybush have always been made by Bonaprene Products Ltd in their Wrexham factory.

A significant proportion of Land Rover, Discovery and Range Rover owners wanted to combine the ride comfort of the Original Equipment bushes with the long life and easy fitting of POLYBUSH CLASSIC. R H Engineering therefore set their engineers and chemists the task of producing such bushes. Working closely with their raw material supplier a new grade of Polyurethane Elastomer was developed. After much research, a polyurethane material that is softer and more resilient than any other offered as suspension bushes is now available exclusively from R H Engineering as the POLYBUSH COMFORT range. POLYBUSH DYNAMIC

POLYBUSH DYNAMIC was introduced for use on Series 1, Series 2, Series 3 and Forward Control 101 vehicles. The stiffness of this mix of Polyurethane Elastomer is somewhere between that of POLYBUSH CLASSIC and POLYBUSH COMFORT and was found to be ideal for leaf sprung Land Rovers. POLYBUSH DYNAMIC is the only formula available for the Series Land Rovers.

POLYBUSH DYNAMIC is now available as an option on Defender, Range Rover Classic, Discovery 1 and Range Rover 38A.

POLYBUSH for Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport

Bushes for these models are now available in part kits and wishbone sets. Just the one grade for these models. Most bushes are applicable to both the Sport and Discovery 3 & 4.
