Much as the title says, which is a little out of kilter with most of our page titles, i.e. it's not weird enough! I would be grateful for suggestions for an alternative name for this page which would be more in keeping.

 Recent changes:-

29th May 2010 - Unfortunately from the 1st July this year we will no longer be open on Saturdays. As some compensation we will be open until 8pm (20:00) on Thursday evenings.

22nd April 2010 - Here are a couple of photos from the winter

The snow brought disruption to work with delayed deliveries from our suppliers and difficulties in delivering to our customers for more than a week. However the resulting accidents due to the snow did give business a boost. We are still much busier than we were in 2009.

10th December 2009 - Sorry, bit of a gap in reporting. We have had some changes in personnel, Gerry Wright has retired. John Anderson joined as a driver but has now transferred to Sales. Dan Larkin has joined as us as a driver and Peter is reducing his hours.

At long last we have had our delivery vans sign-written

We have now added a Series One (1948-1958) parts section to Dingocroft's Digital Dispensary. This covers those parts that we sell regularly and/or have good stock of. For many years we have fought shy of supplying Series 1 parts, but on reflection not only do we stock quite a lot but we have good sources for many others.

30th November 2008 - Just added a "Paint Codes" section. This lists paint codes by model, colour etc etc. Together with the Land Rover part numbers. Hopefully a useful addition to Dingo Data.

3rd August 2008 - EBC Green Stuff Performance Brake Pads now listed and for sale from Dingocroft's Digital Dispensary.

26th July 2008 - The recommended lubricants section has been totally revised. It now has a separate page for each model group and covers the latest vehicles as well as older models.
Also brake pad supersession list added. At request of a trade customer we tracked the many changes to brake pad part numbers.

30th July 2007 - Prancer's Parts Picker is our new and second webshop. It's content is essentially service and repair parts plus accessories. However the big plus is it's 'Parts Selection Engine'. You feed it your Land Rover's details and it selects parts that are relevant. Thus saving you time wading through lots of parts that are not right for your Land Rover.
Dingocroft's Digital Dispensary
is still there for special tools, books, CDs, gifts, off-road equipment, parts of improvement, body & chassis parts as well as regular service items.

30th January 2007 - Dingocroft is a "parts only" operation and so we do not have our own workshops. However we have strong trading relationships with a vast number of garages and workshops. People often ask us to recommend garages and workshops for repairs and servicing. So, to help people with their quest we have tied up with www.landiemech.co.uk They describe themselves thus, "Your Gateway to Independent Land Rover Services". So far the subscribing workshops are in the Thames Valley region and there is already a great selection of quality businesses offering a tremendous range of services to all Land Rover owners. We highly recommend Landiemech as a directory. Why not visit? www.landiemech.co.uk

5th December 2006 - We have just added a much fuller range of technical CDs to our webshop - Dingocroft's Digital Dispensary. The range now covers virtually all models from Series One up to 1999, click here to see full details.

3rd March 2006 - We have now added a searchable database to the website. If you know the part number of the part you want, you can now see if we keep it on the shelf. Go to our search page to find out more.

24th October 2005 - Well, this is certainly a long break since the last update. A fair indication that things have been busy!
Last December that decision was taken not to renew the lease on the showroom. This was due to the increase in both rates and rent due at the end of March. So we had three very hectic months work to shoehorn ourselves into just the main part of our premises which we own. The showroom has been replaced by counter sales with a small display area. Despite this we have managed to display almost as much product and over the counter sales have not fallen.
In April Alan Summerfield left us after nearly five years. After considerable searching we found his replacement in Neil Cummings. Neil is a long time Land Rover enthusiast and has been a customer of Dingocroft for many years. He has now settled in to our team and is rapidly learning the intricacies of being a 'Parts Person'.
As a consequence of the above Dingocroft's Digital Dispensary (our online shop) has not grown as fast as I would like. However the number of lines has increased to approximately 620 now.

16th December 2004 - Our Newsletter for December 2004 is now on web.

8th December 2004 - Did you know? Come January next year Dingocroft will have been in Downley  and in our ownership for 20 years! How time does fly!!

Dingocroft’s Digital Dispensary

Our webshop now lists in excess of 500 products. Many products enhanced by the option of fitting kits where applicable.

Since my last report, the Regular Service and Repair Parts section has been greatly expanded. Chassis and Body Repair Parts section has been added and most sections have been expanded to some extent.

New to the Books and Publications section is The CD Collection, at long last there are some official CD manuals available. This is a definite plus from the Land Rover Classics programme. So far there are 3 CDs covering Range Rover Classic 1970 to 1985, Range Rover Classic 1986 to 1995 and Discovery 1 1989 to 1994. Please see Dingocroft’s Digital Dispensary for full details on these.

For Christmas gift ideas, have a look at our book section for a range of technical manuals and more general Land Rover reading. Our gift section offers hats, mugs, tribute plaques, street signs and lots more.

New Years Eve open 9.00 to 5.30 with emergency only delivery service.
January 4th back to normal hours (8.30 to 6.00) with full delivery service.

6th July 2004 - Yet another 'face lift', this time to bring the main website into line with Dingocroft's Digital Dispensary. I will get round to face lifting the older pages, some time!

25th March 2004 - Just added another new section to Dingocroft's Digital Dispensary. It is Regular Service and Repair Parts, so far I have only added filters and filter kits, but further sub-sections will follow shortly. We are fast approaching 300 lines now.

2nd March 2004 - Dingocroft’s Digital Dispensary, our on-line shop, has grown considerably since its launch last November. There are now in excess of 240 lines spread over several sections.
New to our tools section is Franklin’s Masterflare Brake Flaring Tool.

This brake flaring kit can be used both on and off the vehicle. It produces both single and double flares in 3/16" SAE tube and single flares on 4.75mm DIN tubing. Full range of spares and additional collet & punch sets for other diameter tubes are available. It is also a Practical Classics best buy. Priced at £73.73 inc VAT it represents good value. To view this and other Franklin tools go to our Franklin tools section.

A whole new section is devoted to Polybush suspension bushes. Here you can find vehicle sets of Polybush plus fixings kits. Also listed are part sets and additional kits such as anti-roll bar bush sets, steering damper bushes etc. So if you want to improve your suspension go to our Polybush section.

Another new section is our Steel Tribute Plaques and Street Signs section. Here you will find these and similar signs to enhance your home and workshop.

The Tribute Plaques are £9.99 each inc VAT and the street signs are £19.95 inc VAT.

Finally do not forget our special offer section, called Dingo’s Dotty Deals. Here you will find an odd assortment of goods on special offer. Some will not be available again, at least at these prices, once present stock is sold.

26th November 2003 - Another big step for us, we now have an on-line shop, Dingocroft's Digital Dispensary. Initially there are only just over 100 products available, but we will be adding to these on a regular basis. The full range will never be offered via the 'Dispensary' as we believe human guidance with part selection is very important. So our Quotation Service is still very much available via Dingo Direct Discourse.

13th October 2003 - Quite a few pages have now been 'face lifted'. However the main news is the Tools and Equipment Frameset. Here we have a catalogue of many of the special tools and off-road equipment we offer together with some other goodies such as lights, suspension and towing equipment.
On a negative note, we have abandoned the supply of Jeep parts. Despite our best endeavors, we have been unable to provide a large enough range of parts or the level of service that we are be happy with. Should better supply lines fall into place at a later date, we may be tempted to try again.

7th January 2003 - I have just started to give the site a facelift and update. The link bars and navigation are changing along with updating content and prices on many pages. So far Prancer's Pad, Prancer's Products and this page have received the treatment.
